The Australian Academy of Science has been funded by the Australian Government through the Regional Collaborations Programme to discover through a rapid research project the Impact of COVID-19 on women in the STEM workforce in the Asia-Pacific.

Hear from a panel of science leaders from across the region, who will unpack the findings from the research—which included a survey of over 1000 people across the region and the collection of 20 personal stories

During the event, Project Committee chair Professor Cheryl Praeger AC FAA will outline the key findings, followed by a panel of STEM experts facilitated by Australia’s Women in in STEM Ambassador Professor Lisa Harvey-Smith including Dr Judith Zubieta (National Autonomous University of Mexico), Hazami Habib (Chief Executive Officer, Academy of Science Malaysia) and Professor Patricio Felmer (University of Chile).
