Prime Minister Tony Abbott meets scientists at Science meets Parliament

Bipartisan support for science in Australia was on display at Science meets Parliament in early March, as both sides of politics acknowledged the importance of science and research to government decision-making.

More than 100 tertiary trainers have been trained by Primary Connections under a funding agreement with the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (now the Department of Education).

Science by Doing's Energy unit

Since the launch of the initial eight Science by Doing (SBD) curriculum units by Nobel Laureate Professor Brian Schmidt AC FAA FAA FRS in October 2013, the SBD team has focused on developing the remaining eight curriculum units for years 7 to 10.
