Dawn of the new space age—series passes

Australian researchers are at the forefront of the ‘Dawn of the new Space Age’, as we strive to discover more about our universe. Their work is contributing to the global effort to understand space and the result is some amazing science for us to share. The more we discover however, the more we realise how little we know!

Future Earth Australia is a national peak initiative that enables Australian scientists, governments, industry and NGOs to collaborate both with each other and with international networks and programs across Australia.

A delegation of six researchers travelled to Japan to attend the Ninth HOPE Meeting held at the Tokyo International Forum, (Tokyo, Japan) from 26 February to 2 March 2017. The subject fields for this year included physics, chemistry, physiology/medicine and related fields.

On 24 February 2017 the Academy made a submission to the NHMRC review of the Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research and the accompanying Guide for investigating breaches.

On 7 March 2016 the Academy made a submission to the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade consultation on the development of a Foreign Policy White Paper.
