Applications now open for our funding opportunities

The Australian Academy of Science offers two types of opportunities for scientists.

Our funding opportunities support scientists to undertake research projects as well as travel and lectures at a national and international level. See below for links to each funding opportunity. 

Applications for 2026 funding opportunities are open until 1 June 2025.

Our honorific awards recognise outstanding contributions to the advancement of science across the career spectrum.

Nominations for some 2026 honorific awards have been extended to 1 June (see below).
